The sweetest thing has occurred in the last 24 hours.
Four, yes I said four of my peers, my fellow foodie bloggers have found it fit to award me with this - The sunshine blogger award.
What's remarkable isn't that its a pretty picture with a flower on it but rather the reason behind the award in itself which is,
The Sunshine Blog Award is awarded to bloggers whose positivity and creativity inspire others in the blog world.
Isn't that the most wonderful thing someone can feel about you? I think so & obviously my 8 year old thinks so too because he's been running around the house all day saying, "Mummy's won 4 Oscars"!

Eric is a man after my own heart because he is dedicated to "bringing world cuisines to anyone who will listen". He has a unique approach as he delves into the food, history culture & of course the National Dish of each Nation he touches.
I have a really big smile on my face that just won't go away as I write this because as requirements of the award I must now pass the torch to some of my favorite bloggers & that is so exciting!

SWEETLIFE - Bonnie has a wonderfully creative, fun & whimsical approach to food from her cilantro & pepita shamrock creations to her cauliflower & avocado chocolate cupcakes, her blog delights. A visit from her on my blog absolutely brightens up my day.
WHAT WE CHOW - Tara, because to know her is to love her! She has the gift of blarney (I couldn't resist) and she is going places with her skills. Read her & you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
THE CULINARY CHRONICLES - Nam, is a whiz with cupcakes. I mean she does cupcakes like no one else I know. Not that I don't love her for her other foods but being cupcake handicapped myself, I naturally rave about them. That and the fact that her pics makes me want to eat my computer screen.
COOKIN' CANUCK - Dara, for her ability to turn every meal into a drool worthy experience. Its really something to go to a blog & go I want to eat that & that & that & that & ..... Also, in the real world she and her husband help set up "intensive behavioral programs for their children with autism" - Just for that, she so deserves this award!
EN MI COCINA Y ALREDEDORES - Maria Jose, for spurring in me the desire to build a bridge to Spain just so we can have Sunday brunch together. She makes me want to learn Spanish so I don't have to put up with the Google translator. Oh! And because I want to eat her food, like those amazing fresh anchovy rolls she fixed the other day (yea, I love anchovies!!:)
CHEZ WHAT - Christo the New Yorker with deep New Mexico roots, because he interprets food in his own voice, in his own unique fashion, where fish & chips can be sushi & his love for street carts & fry shops rival my own & he's the only food blogger I know who actually acknowledged the Ides of March in 44BC - the day Julius Caesar was assassinated and just for that he's got my vote!
DRICK'S RAMBLING CAFE - Drick, because what can I say? I'm a Dixie chick of Indian heritage! And I know he's the man when you want a messy po'-boy or crawfish etouffee or just some plain ol' blackened alligator. Gotta love a man who's southern, barefoot & happy!
DAVE'S CUPBOARD - Dave, because I adore his posts that are completely off the beaten path - covering everything from attic cured bresaola to where does our dairy really come from? Where else can you get that but at Dave's?
I'm stopping now because if I could I would give the award to every one of the people who presented it to me. They just happened to beat me to it!
Also I apologize for creating more work for all of you recipients but what can I say, I'm sharing the love!
So there you have it, the torch is passed and this time you don't even have to put up with my confessions!
